Kenta Nagasawa is a Ph.D. student in Education Policy and Evaluation at Florida State University and a Graduate Assistant for the Career Development Opportunities in Florida’s Leon County Schools project. He is part of the qualitative research team, assisting with school interviews and data analysis. His interest in education policy began while serving as a volunteer mathematics teacher at a middle school in Africa. He later earned his M.Ed. in International Education Policy and Management from Vanderbilt University, where he developed a strong interest in how empirical research can address challenges in education. His research focuses on teacher policy and teacher labor markets, with a particular interest in mixed methods approaches that integrate quantitative and qualitative perspectives.
