Dr. Christine G. Mokher is the James A. Shanks Endowed Professor in the Higher Education program in Florida State University’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, where she is also a Senior Research Associate with the Center for Postsecondary Success (CPS). Her research utilizes mixed methods to rigorously examine national, state, and local policies that support college and career readiness and success, with the aim of informing educational practice and policy reforms. In 2023-2024, Dr. Mokher was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholar Award to the Philippines, where she focused on strengthening educational pathways and fostering collaboration between K-12 and postsecondary institutions.
Dr. Mokher earned her Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, International Journal of Educational Development, Education Finance & Policy, The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness, and The Journal of Higher Education. She is an Associate Editor for Educational Researcher, and serves on the editorial boards of Research in Higher Education and the Journal of Postsecondary Student Success.
